Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce: D.C. Fly-In Recap

The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce recently made its annual trip to Washington D.C. to meet with legislators and advocate for the most pressing issues affecting the South Florida business community. The delegation accomplished several successful outcomes during the trip.

Chamber members discussed its priorities for transportation, including promoting public transportation in the form of an expanded train or light rail, during meetings with Congressman Mario Diaz Balart (Chair of House Transportation & Infrastructure Appropriations), Senator Nelson (senior member of Senate Transportation Committee), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (member of House Appropriations Committee) and the US Department of Transportation.
